Heavensgate:"When Jesus said follow me. He was not exerting authority over himself. He is the vessel that used for salvation. This vessel justifies him to reign over all of us, not as God but as King. Your understanding about dual GOD has never been mentioned in any sensible way. Good Luck with your endeavor."
I've NO idea what you are talking about. I don't believe in a dual God at all, I never have.
I am an active Jehovahs Witness.. I only know to worship Jehovah, you insult me.
Why do you think I've been defending our beliefs??
And what do you mean by empathizing but not agreeing? Agreeing with what??
I was trying to get the viewpoint of an experienced fellow Witness, how can that quote from 1945 mean anything but to worship Jesus? It says we should 'worship Jehovah and also bow down and worship Jesus', in the same context.
And how could we state it as fact that children WOULD NOT grow old or finish school. An answer to either/both of these points would be helpful, but you have bizarrely decided that I'm some dual God believer, goodness knows why..

Active JW's, can you defend "THE TRUTH?"
by DATA-DOG inas of yet, no member of the jehovah's witness faith can defend their unique beliefs.
when the dust settles, it all comes down to blind faith in men's ever-changing ideas.
this "unique belief" was not a "true teaching of the bible.

Heavensgate:"The JWN community is not really looking for truthful answer they just want to replace wisdom with hate."
That's not fair really.. Most of the posters have been respectful.
Heavensgate:"The separation of movements is not acknowledged here unfortunately."
To be fair, some of the quotes shown here are quite recent. What about that one from 1969, saying children will not grow old as a definite statement? And why can't I look it up on the cd-rom? The awakes only go back to 1970, but the watchtowers to 1950 which I always thought was odd.. And the quote about Jesus being worshipped in the same way as Jehovah, how could the Faithful Slave have printed that at any time?
'Since Jehovah God now reigns as King by means of his capital organization Zion, then whosoever would worship Him must also worship and bow down to Jehovah's Chief One in that capital organization, namely, Christ Jesus, his Co-regent on the throne of The Theocracy."Watchtower1945 Oct 15 p.313 -

(I'm out of posts, Suspicious!!)Ucantnome, I'll answer you as it is simple and I have neither the time or posts to do any more. I may have to discuss the Jesus worship quotes with an elder or someone mature. 'Does it mean that Armageddon is going to be finished, with Satan bound, by 1975? It could! It could! All things are possible with God. Does it mean that Babylon the Great is going to go down by 1975? It could. Does it mean that the attack of Gog of Magog is going to be made on Jehovah's witnesses to wipe them out, then Gog himself will be put out of action? It could. But we are not saying. All things are possible with God.But we are not saying. And don't any of you be specific in saying anything that is going to happen between now and 1975.But the big point of it all is this, dear friends: Time is short. Time is running out, no question about that."Watchtower1966 Oct 15 pp.629,631"Speculative Articles, But NO Definite StatementWhile there was likely a lot of speculation surrounding 1975 by individuals,no publication ever provided a definitive statement saying that the end would come in 1975. Some articles seemed to say that it was highly possible, though they always qualified it.For example, the 5/01/67 Watchtower says:"...1975 marks the end of 6,000 years of human experience.....Will it be the time when God executes the wicked?....It very well could be,but we will have to wait and see."Other articles frequently used words such as "may", "could" and "possibly"," regarding this.Even Frederick Franz (the then President of the WBTS) forcefully instructed:"...don’t any of you be specific in saying anything that is going to happen between now and 1975."http://defendingjehovahswitnesses.blogspot.co.uk/2011/09/1975-and-jehovahs-witnesses-opposers.html

A professor of Bible languages at Union Theological Seminary in New York, Dr. Marvin R. Vincent, wrote that in theKJV(and other old translations into English) some uses of 'worship' may seem to be
"An unfortunate translation, according to modern English, but justified by the usage of earlier English, according to which to worship meant simply to honor. Worship is worthship, or honor paid to dignity or worth. This usage survives in the [British] expressions 'worshipful' and 'your worship.' In the marriage-service of the English Church occurs the phrase, 'With my body I thee worship.' So Wycliffe [one of the earliest English Bible translators] renders Matthew 19:19, 'Worship thy father and thy mother;' and John 12:26, 'If any man serve me, my Father shall worship him.'" - pp. 533, 534,Word Studies in the New Testament, vol. 1, Sage Software, 1996.
So, just like the Bible words shachah(Hebrew) and proskuneo(Greek), the word 'worship' in English also, until relatively recent times, had various levels of meaning and could be applied to other men in a lower sense of the word.

I can't believe that we used to worship Jesus..the word must have meant something different then, as in honor him. I will research that and get back to you.

Brainfloss:"You have not responded is that a teaching from the bible?"
1 John 3:6 Everyone remaining in union with him does not practice sin; no one who practices sin has either seen him or come to know him. 7 Little children, let no one mislead you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as that one is righteous. 8 The one who practices sin originates with the Devil, because the Devil has been sinning from the beginning.
..Also read Hebrews 10:26. Next you'll tell me that lying, greediness and bestiality are not sins. Point out one thing from your list there that is not a sin..

Sarah:"Defender of Truth
Why would God need to publish magazines when all scriptures are from God?"
To aid those with limited time, patience, and Bible understanding to develop a thirst for Gods Word. And, in the case of those who read the Bible, the Watchtower to stimulate thought on Biblical matters that they may otherwise not discuss at the door or with their church group. They are like a bait to draw people in to studying the Bible and coming to an accurate knowledge of God.
"If given by the holy spirit to write then why would they error. It should be the opposite writings with out errors of future prophecy. Written by Holy Slirit would be so fantastic it would compare to the bible."
As pointed out earlier in the thread, gifts of prophesying and infallible direction have ceased (can people please read a topic before replying to it?), all that anyone can do today is try to interpret prophecies in the Bible, not make them. We do not compare the Watchtower to the Bible, Gods Word comes before anything else in terms of importance.
"Where are the evidence the GB or Jehovahs Witnesses are God's choosen(?) They are not written in the bible. Who declares them the air!"
I have already answered the first question earlier in the thread, of course their names are not in the Bible why would they be, and your last sentence makes no sense at all to me. (apologies to Problemaddict for insulting him, I'll try to control my tongue when dealing with nonsensical statements in future).
